They are creating a cell phone silencer company and designing a product to hold a cell phone and muffle the sound if it rings. Each group will use a shoe box and variety of materials to make a sound proof box for their cell phone. In Emerging Tech, we have created a scenario for the 1st year students to pretend they are the owners of the research databases available to all Polk County students and they are creating Powtoons to sell the databases to all students. The 2nd year students are creating video games using the online software Sploder. The 3rd year students are continuing to create subject specific board games using the Creation Station materials and the 3D printer in the Fab Lab! Civics students have been learning about the historical figures and documents that influenced the US Constitution. We are also looking into the different forms of government that are used around the globe!
