Dear Knights,
I hope everyone felt the power of the human spirit throughout today's 9/11 Ceremony. I was so proud of the students today. The firefighters and police officers all let me know how special today made them feel. It was beyond touching for them to see the students' respect and admiration for what they do each and every day. The support of the Lakeland City Officials was humbling and uplifting for me and I look forward to further collaboration in the future. Thanks to the Band and Chorus for doing a wonderful job in opening and closing the ceremony. Mr.Gerlich and Mrs. Rogers did an amazing job assembling all the beautiful flags. Thank you to PTSA.... Kim Jeffares and Shelly Robinson for their "Remembrance ID Badges"...in which all students and staff wore the name and bio of a victim of the attacks. Very powerful. And it all started due to a small suggestion from Mrs. Bland. It was a true Knights Team effort all around!! From the academic end, we completed our first round of writing testing this week. Students and Staff are all pros on this now, and any kinks were quickly resolved. Instruction and Learning are in full force when we are not testing...... Girls' basketball had their try outs this week and we had an incredible turnout! I'm proud of all the girls, particularly with the winning attitudes I saw on display. Thanks Coach Thomas for volunteering and giving all the girls this opportunity. Check us out on FACEBOOK! Enjoy the weekend~ From the Heart~ Brian J. Andrews Principal Comments are closed.
